Enercon E92 Turbine – Hill of Lybster Wind Turbine
John Gunn and Sons were subcontracted by Pure Green Consulting for their Civil Engineering Services at a site at Hill of Lybster, Forss in Caithness. The works began in Summer of 2023 and were completed by Spring 2024.
John Gunn and Sons were responsible for the following;
- Setting Out of all works on-site.
- Construction of Haul Road and Crane Hardstanding Platform.
- Construction of E92 Turbine Foundation.
- Ducting Installation Works.
- Construction of Switch Room Plinth and AUX Transformer Base.
- Managing Sub-contractors for the works.
All quarry materials for the works including crushed rock, cable sand and ready-mix concrete were supplied from our quarry at Bower.
The total volume of concrete supplied and installed for the E92 Enercon foundation was 496m3.
