HIE Business Units – Wick Business Park
John Gunn and Sons were appointed by Highland and Islands Enterprise (HIE) in late 2022 for the development of new business units at Wick Business Park.
The new units were designed to meet modern building standards that reflect well on the environment and suit a variety of uses from the industrial to commercial sectors. The total floor area of the units is 248m2.
Work began on-site in January 2023 and the project was successfully completed in May 2024. John Gunn and Sons responsibilities for the works included;
- Site Management and Management of all Sub-contractors.
- Site Strip and enabling works.
- Installation of Site Drainage including all surface & foul water and retaining tank.
- Installation of all Services including drinking water, telecoms and electrical power.
- Foundation works for new Business units.
- Erection of new Business Units and Building Fit Out.
- Kerbing Works.
- Road Formation and Road Surfacing Works.
- Installation of EV Charing Points and Bike Storage facilities.
- Landscaping works.
- Installation of Site Fencing.
The project was completed in May 2024.
